What is Hospitals & Institutions (H&I)?

The Hospitals and Institutions Subcommittee is comprised of volunteers within the NA. The subcommittee's mission is to provide access to the message of Narcotics Anonymous by bringing NA meetings into facilities where members don't have freedom to attend outside meetings on their own. These are most often in addiction treatment centers, recovery homes, mental health facilities, hospitals, therapeutic communities, and in correctional facilities such as jails and prisons. The goal of the meetings is twofold: to let the attendees know that Narcotics Anonymous exists and for members to shared their personal experiences with the program in an effort to promote hope through identification.

Everyone is welcome to come to the H&I Monthly meeting to help out! Volunteers are need both on the subcommittee as well as to facilitate meetings in the various facilities.

If you are a facility in need of support and/or a meeting, please visit the Community Support page to request resources and information.
